Ilyes Hassib leads corporate underwriting and reinsurance for Sanlam Pan Africa General Insurance, ​and his responsibilities range from steering underwriting policy and annual ​reinsurance protection for the group, to supervising most of the technical, financial ​and regulatory aspects related to the reinsurance captive business of Sanlam Pan Africa. ​

Ilyes HASSIB works closely with the underwriting and reinsurance teams at all levels of the organization to provide guidance as well as key underwriting and reinsurance support to achieve strategic ​objectives for the Sanlam Group in Africa.​​

Prior to joining Sanlam Pan Africa in March 2014, he held various central roles in the Moroccan ​insurance and reinsurance sector, managing and underwriting mostly reinsurance.​

Combining 18 years of experience in the insurance and reinsurance industry, Ilyes HASSIB is certified CII from the Chartered Insurance Institute of London and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finances and in Economics from the Kelley school of Business at University of Indiana, USA."​
