James has 23 years’ insurance experience across the value chain, with a strong focus on strategic client growth, claims leadership, risk management and financial crime, and has worked in global professional services for last 10 years in high profile roles including Head of insurance – East Africa at KPMG.

He has experience of working with clients in both mature and emerging markets in Europe, Americas, Africa, Asia Pac and the Middle East, and a large global network of relationships and clients ranging from international  and local re-insurers, insurers, brokers, corporates, NGOs, academia, regulators, industry associations and insure-techs. He is also involved in developing growth plans with the London Market.

James has sat on advisory boards for start-ups, built teams and practices, created new products, set up global partnerships, supported  international  M & A, and has mentored  industry talent.

He is an active industry thought leader and author, influencer, and is passionate  about transformation and growth, and demonstrating the value of insurance.

In his current role, he is responsible for driving new business across Sedgwick’s international  business, with a focus on integrated  solutions, technology, multi-national claims programmes, cross-border risks, strategic growth, as well as developing our brand profile, partnerships, and sales tools.

James is based in London but regularly travels internationally to engage with local markets, teams, and clients to help bring a One Sedgwick solution.

Outside of work James is married with two young children and is a big football and cricket fan.
